Nike Fall / Winter 2009 Samples
Last month sample pictures from 2009 Nike releases were photographed showcasing a few interesting styles, but a more extensive look at what’s to come this year and part of the following year can be seen here. Featured in the first photo is the Air Max 1 composed of black and white and is made up of suede and mesh. The Barkley vs. Godzilla Blazer Pack is the second photo from the shoot and previews two upcoming Blazer Mids. The Blazer pack will be accompanied by the release of the a metallic silver and white Blazer Mid. After these first few photos, group pictures display numerous of future releases including an assortment the Dunk High and Low, Blazer, Air Force 1, Court Force, Air Structure and much more. For a complete look at the upcoming seasons, check the jump.
Nike Air 1/2 Cent Penny - Fall / Winter 2009
With the extremely succesful release of the Nike Air 1/2 Cent Penny - Varsity Royal/Black-Metallic Silver earlier in the year, Nike has designed two more new colorways of their latest hybrid sneaker. Most sneakerheads love the Air 1/2 Cent Penny, and believe it accurately portrays the beauty of the Nike Air Penny line. The first colorway set to release later in the year is inspired by Tim Duncan’s 1998 Nike Air Total Foamposite Max, and features a full metallic silver upper with black accents and an icy sole. The second pair (seem after the ‘jump’) yields a black upper with green spark and metallic silver accents. There is no official release date slated as of yet, but expect both sneakers to release later this year.
Air Jordan I (1) GS - Icy Pack
With the slew of Air Jordan releases for men this year, JB had to make sure not to forget about the kids. Here’s a look at one of the shoes from the Air Jordan I (1) GS Icy Pack. These sneakers feature a solid colored upper, and a translucent sole of the same color. Everyone knows that kids like to be out and about in colorful outfits, and these couldn’t have come at a better time. For all the sneakerheads out there, while you’re out buying every Air Jordan I (1) that comes out, be sure to get a little something up for the children in your life.
Nike Woven Pack - Dunk High and Dunk Low
Just a few days Nike dropped the Woven Pack that consisted of the Terminator High and Air Wildwood and will be following up those two models with two more, the Dunk High and Dunk Low. Both Dunks feature a basket weave design at the midsection in addition to a two tone upper that is made up of either dark obsidian or green leather and a white toe unit, midsole, laces and tongue label. The Dunk High is available in dark obsidian while the Dunk Low can be purchased in green. Both have just landed overseas.
Nike Dunk High Premium - Purple / Yellow
For all the Lakers fans out there, Nike has unofficially released this Nike Dunk High Premium in purple/yellow. This Dunk hi uses the finest materials Nike has, including purple premium leather, satin tongue, polyester side panels, and an icey sole. The tongue tag features the Nike Zoom as opposed to the reguler Nike tongue tag. To contrast the purple, the shoes are supplied with yellow shoelaces and a clean white midsole to finish off the dunk. These are available now on Caliroots for about $140.
Release Reminder: April 4, 2009
Every once in a while, a sneaker threatens to usurp Jordan Brand’s monopoly of popular weekend sneaker releases. This time around, the Nike Air Yeezy is that sneaker, and it has definitely caused a stir in the industry ever since it was first seen around a year ago. Though there are five variations of the Air Jordan I (1) releasing this weekend, the Nike Air Yeezy is most definitely one of the most anticipated sneakers of 2009. The Nike Air Yeezy is set to release in extremely limited quantities at a retail price of $215; thus, many sneakerheads may have to forget the Yeezy, and end up copping some Air Jordans instead.
This weekend, Jordan Brand is set to release a plethora of sneakers including the first couple colorways of the Air Jordan 2.5 Team 5/8 as well as an Easter Basket Pack and a Polka Dot Pack. A Georgetown Hoyas inspired Air Jordan Phly Legend is also set to release tomorrow, April 4, 2009. The Easter Basket Pack is composed of an Air Jordan 1 Retro Mid, an Air Jordan Phly Legend, and an Air Jordan I Retro Low Velcro. The Polka Dot Pack will release in the form of an Air Jordan 1 Mid and an Air Jordan 1 Low Phat. Jordan Brand will also continue their AJ1 High Strap series with a new black/university blue colorway. The last sneaker releasing this weekend is a new black/varsity red/white colorway of the Air Jordan 2009 (2K9). Check out detailed pictures and the tech information for each pair after the jump.
